 
        COMSURFLOT is delegated Full Command responsibility and Single Point of Accountability for the Force Generation of all surface ships (QEC (Queen Elizabeth Class), LPD, DD, FF, MCMV (Mine Counter Measure Vessel), HM, OPV (Offshore Patrol Vessel), P2000, PJOB (Permanent Joint Overseas Basing) vessels and the Fleet Diving Squadron) to meet COMOPS’ schedule and directives. His Command responsibilities on behalf of the Fleet Commander include the professional development, and provision, of GLAD to all under his Administrative Authority. This responsibility includes assistance to Commanding Officers with the implementation of new policy, monitoring and maintenance of engineering standards and feedback on the support provided to vessels by local agencies. COMSURFLOT’s outputs are delivered by 4 OF5s leading their respective areas: Captain Amphibious, Frigates and Hydrographic (AFH) – as CGA (Class Generation Authority) and DDH (Delivery Duty Holder) for LPD, FF and HM. Captain Carriers and Destroyers (C&D) – as CGA and DDH for QEC, and DD. Captain Patrol, Underwater Exploitation and Diving – as FGA (Force Generation Authority) and DDH for MCMV, OPV, P2000, PJOB Vessels and Fleet Diving Squadron. Captain Engineering – Engineering Division. SURFLOT AFH FGEN-SPT(U) provides the Whole Unit Support function to Units entering Upkeep from non-fleet date (NFD) to Upkeep start date (UPSD) commencing at initial liaison 12 months prior to UPSD. During the Upkeep period SURFLOT AFH FGEN-SPT(U) are to identify and report any risk to CAPT AFH via his Chief Engineer to the project, which may impact or delay regeneration and RFSD. Whilst ensuring value for money and engineering standards are achieved and maintained, in order that the best product is presented to the regenerating Ship’s Staff. As regeneration commences IAW OSLT’s SURFLOT AFH FGEN-SPT(U) are to deliver Support to the executive, seamanship holdings, and CBRNDC equipment required to achieve HAT CBRNDC assisting with preparations and training for SARC1 and ultimately SSMOB. This liaison and assistance will be maintained until RFSD. Primary purpose To provide Logistics liaison and act as sole PoC with base facillities on behalf of AFH -SPT(U) for the removal and delivery of equipment from/to the long term storage facility for which they will be the building controller as required by WO2ME,CBRNDC and Seamanship HoG’s. Secondary purpose To provide support to CBRNDC and Seamanship HoG;s as directed by WO2ME. To be a divisional officer as required by OiC. To conduct duties as the AFH-SPT(U) on call rating. To conduct safety and assurance rounds onboard upkeep units as required by OiC. Accountability SURFLOT AFH FGEN-SPT(U) CPO is directly accountable to WO2ME and through them to OiC for delivery of their TOR’s Authority SURFLOT AFH FGEN-SPT(U) CPO is authorised to exercise line authority over all OR6 and below within SURFLOT AFH FGEN-SPT(U). The SURFLOT AFH FGEN-SPT(U) CPO will provide appropriate supervision and guidance, including the mentoring and participation in the wider aspects of RN life, to ensure promotion of RN Core Values and ethos amongst those around them. Primary responsibilities SURFLOT AFH FGEN-SPT(U) CPO is to: Bring to the attention of the SURFLOT AFH FGEN-SPT(U) OiC any matters of concern which are likely to impact regeneration. Act as the units focal point for all matters relating to logistics, maintain a good working relatinships with WSLG and ESG Logs and all other site logistic stakeholders relating to T23s in upkeep or disposal. Assist the Whole Unit Co-Ord with all matters relating to unit professional development and divisional care, and with the N1 generation of T23s emerging from upkeep. Support the command aim as directed by the unit OiC. Secondary responsibilities SURFLOT AFH FGEN-SPT(U) CPO is to: To deliver engineering support as the SURFLOT AFH FGEN-SPT(U) SQEP T23 HoG in the absence of the WO2ME, during both the upkeep preparations period and regeneration.
