Overview
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and professional Cabinet Executive Assistant to provide dedicated support to the Council’s Cabinet Members. This is a pivotal role within the council, requiring a professional who can manage complex schedules, coordinate high-level meetings, and ensure the smooth running of Cabinet-related activities.

About the role
Key Responsibilities
 1. Provide comprehensive executive support to Cabinet Members, including diary management, travel arrangements, and correspondence handling.
 2. Coordinate Cabinet member meetings, briefings, and events, ensuring all logistics and documentation are prepared to a high standard.
 3. Liaise with senior officers, stakeholders, and external partners on behalf of Cabinet Members.
 4. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all communications and documentation.
 5. Monitor and track Cabinet member actions and decisions, ensuring timely follow-up and reporting.
 6. Support the wider democratic services and governance functions as required.

On-the-go:
Our ‘on-the-go’ roles mean you’ll usually start and finish your day from a base, moving around between different locations throughout the day. You won’t need a fixed desk to work from, but you’ll have access to our network where you can keep up to date with admin and the latest staff updates.
About you
 7. Proven experience in a senior administrative or executive support role, ideally within a public sector or political environment.
 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
 9. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
 10. Discretion, diplomacy, and a clear understanding of political sensitivity.
 11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.
