What will I be doing as a Residential Support Worker?
* Developing positive relationships with the young people in our care, their families and external agencies.
* Contributing to the young person's care plans and any risk assessments, supporting with implementation and reviews.
* Supporting young people with daily activities, educational needs and emotional wellbeing.
* Ensuring that good quality records are maintained as required.
Previous experience is not a requirement for this role as we provide 3 weeks of classroom training followed by 1 week of shadow shifts to ensure that you feel confident and well equipped to start your new role.
What we are looking for
* We welcome applications from people who have previous experience in a children's residential setting or similar role.
* People who have the ability to interact with young people and manage challenging behaviours calmly.
* A full UK driving licence.
* You must also be over 21 years of age to meet industry regulations.
* Level 3 / 4 Diploma in Children & Young Peoples workforce would be great although this is not essential.
* Flexibility to work shifts including weekends, evenings and sleep‑in duties on a rota basis – our shifts are 7:30 am to 11:00 pm and sleep‑ins 11:30 pm to 7:30 am (paid at £50 per sleep).
