We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service in your store through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For:
* Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural, excellent service.
* Encouraging customer feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Practicing safety in all work activities.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and contributing to profit delivery.
* Living company values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately to ensure proper payment.
* Following security procedures and safety equipment protocols to keep everyone safe.
* Following the ‘think 25’ policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions, explaining actions clearly to customers.
* Keeping the store tidy and organized, ensuring clear aisles.
* Potentially managing the shift in the absence of supervisors.
* Following all training to ensure safety, legality, and quality standards.
* If applicable, managing Post Office operations and passing necessary background checks.
