About the Role
We’re looking for a Learning Support Assistant – Outreach to join our team at Fieldstone School. This is a unique opportunity to support pupils outside of the traditional classroom setting, including in homes, community spaces, and alternative provisions.
Working under the guidance of the Outreach Lead and Deputy Principal, you will play a key role in delivering bespoke support to learners with special educational needs, helping them engage positively with their education and build confidence in everyday life.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the planning and delivery of individualised programmes tailored to pupils’ needs.
2. Work across various outreach settings — including home environments, community venues, and alternative provisions.
3. Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment wherever support is delivered.
4. Promote emotional wellbeing and social development by modelling and encouraging positive behaviour.
5. Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistent support.
6. Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and confidentiality protocols at all times.
7. Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and school policies.
What We’re Looking For
8. GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.
9. Full UK Driving Licence.
10. A compassionate, patient, and adaptable individual.
11. Someone able to work independently across different settings.
12. A strong communicator who can build rapport with pupils, families, and colleagues.
13. Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.
About us
Fieldstone School is an independent day school, supporting the most vulnerable young people in society aged 5-16; those children who do not find it easy to fit into existing educational provision. This can be for many reasons, including a range of behavioural, emotional and educational challenges, exacerbated by being on the autistic spectrum. Other difficulties such as sensory processing disorders, attachment disorders or those having faced trauma in their lives.
It is our intention that every student will achieve their full potential in both academic and personal development. As a day school, we provide an alternative to residential education which supports our students to develop independence and social skills whilst living in their home environment.
