Job Title: Principal Product Environmental Engineer

What you’ll be doing:
1. Develop, implement and maintain the Environmental Management System for the BAE Systems Capability, Capacity & Resilience Programme (BCCR)
2. Produce and manage Product Environmental Management Plans
3. Lead Product Environmental impact and risk identification, management and assessment activities
4. Influence the construction and delivery of the Project Environmental Case including Environmental Case reports
5. Complete peer reviews, checking, verification and assurance tasks to demonstrate the adequacy and robustness of the Environmental Case and supporting documentation
6. Understand the application of wider Safety Case, Quality and HS&E Management System documentation
7. Produce, present and articulate clear and logical environmental arguments
8. Support the appropriate meetings and Working Groups
Your skills and experiences:
1. Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent qualification
2. Professional Chartership or working towards
3. The ability to analyse complex problems and identify the most critical issues
4. Ability to identify and quantify environmental issues to determine those that are critical/significant and develop suitable solutions/mitigations
5. Ability to interpret technical data and produce clear, logical environmental arguments supporting decision-making

The Environmental Team:
This role involves interaction with senior management within the Submarines Business and supporting the development and maintenance of Project Environmental Management Systems.
