Supporting high growth Tech and Digital Startups / Scaleups with CFO hires, Senior Finance Leaders, Interim Finance Support and Fractional Experts
Zanda is an Executive Search partner that works exclusively with high growth start-ups as they look to scale their business with senior talent. Zanda partners with VCs, Founders, CEOs, and CFOs when it comes to successfully delivering on key senior appointments.
Zanda is working with a high-growth SaaS business developing cutting-edge technology for a range of industrial sectors. Backed by a recent £5m investment from a leading European VC, the company is scaling fast, with revenues growing from £1m to a forecasted £10m over the next 12–18 months.
The company’s AI-powered platform transforms how businesses capture and utilise data, streamlining operations and enabling predictive insights across sectors like energy, mining, and infrastructure.
With a growing customer base and a recurring revenue model, the business is preparing for its Series B fundraise and now seeks its first senior finance hire: a Head of Finance who can grow into a CFO role as the company scales. This role offers a great opportunity to build on a fundamentally sound accounting skill set, stepping into a hands-on finance position with exposure to corporate development and fundraising activities.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone excited by the pace and variety of a scaleup environment, and eager to build a technologically advanced, high impact finance function from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and improve finance operations, controls and reporting across the business enabling technology wherever possible.
* Manage financial filings, board resolutions and investor reporting in coordination with external advisors.
* Own month end processes including cashflow forecasting and working capital planning.
* Work cross functionally with sales, ops and product teams to align commercial planning with financial goals.
* Partner closely with the CEO to shape financial strategy and support Series B fundraising.
* Lead forecasting, budgeting and financial modelling to support strategic decision making.
* Develop dashboards and KPIs to track product margins and SaaS metrics.
What background should you have before you press apply?
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA).
* Experience in a high growth tech, SaaS or B2B environment.
* Comfortable in a Head of Finance or senior finance business partner role within a scaleup or SME.
* Confident building financial models, leading FP&A, and supporting strategic planning.
* Interested in exposure to corporate development, investor relations and future CFO responsibilities.
* Experience supporting fundraising or working alongside VCs is advantageous.
