I’m partnering with a leading principal contractor and their civil engineering and highways division looking to add a dynamic individual to their Health & Safety team.
You will be an accomplished Health & Safety professional with Highways and Roads experience, providing operational support and delivering highly competent Health & Safety advice across a major scheme in Birmingham.
Roles and responsibilities include:
•Identify defects out on site relating to all asset types
•Build and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
•Attending office meetings and site meetings.
•Building relationships with BCC teams for any enforcement or NRSWA related issues.
•Undertaking inspections and audits across the project
•Ensuring accurate and effective collation of data and carry out inspections in accordance with the Well Maintained Highways General Code Of Practice.
•Producing data for the planning and delivery of works.
•Complying with the relevant Health and Safety Legislation.
•Ensuring contract compliance on data quality management.
•Communication with third party claims team to provide evidence in the defence claims.
You will be a key operational asset, with client liaison an integral part of the role. Key qualifications and experience include:
•Appropriate qualification with knowledge of relevant legislation and Codes of Practice or extensive experience in lieu of qualifications.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•An ability to work well under pressure and remain goals-orientated
•Able to manage stakeholders at all levels
•Lantra-trained as Highways Safety Inspector (ESSENTIAL)
•Highways experience (ESSENTIAL)
