Overview
We are offering opportunities to join Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) as a trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) in one of four MHST teams.
Role details
Locations: Salford or North Manchester MHST (Prestwich Training Centre cohort, start Aug/Sep 2026) OR Trafford or South Manchester MHST (Edge Hill University Cohort, start Dec/Jan 2026).
Contract: Full-time (12 months) with a permanent position available on successful completion of the course.
Working pattern: A split post of three clinical days and two teaching days at the training site for 12 months.
Support and delivery: The EMHP role delivers evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across educational settings and healthcare sectors in England.
Responsibilities
* Deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people across educational and healthcare settings.
* Work in a split role with three clinical days and two teaching days per week for 12 months.
* Collaborate within the MHST teams to support mental health and wellbeing in schools and communities.
