Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver engaging Key Stage 5 mathematics lessons that address the specific learning needs of students with visual impairments.
2. Use accessible materials and adaptive technologies to support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in mathematical activities.
3. Provide explicit instruction and multi-sensory learning experiences to enhance comprehension and promote independent learning.
4. Collaborate with colleagues and specialist support staff to develop individualised learning plans and support student progress.
5. Foster a culture of inclusion and empowerment, ensuring that all students with visual impairments have equal opportunities to succeed.
6. Provide feedback and support to students, empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve success in mathematics.
Requirements:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working with students with visual impairments.
8. Strong understanding of visual impairment and evidence-based strategies for supporting students with visual impairments in mathematics.
9. Commitment to inclusive education and creating an accessible learning environment for all students.
10. Eligibility to work in the UK.
