Job Overview: We are currently recruiting for a Scheduler who will have responsibility for efficiently allocating client jobs to our field engineers, on a national scale. Working as part of a small, dynamic scheduling team, you’ll ensure client requests are handled promptly and that the right engineer, with the appropriate skill set, is assigned to each job. You’ll plan and prioritise work with consideration for travel time, costs, and job duration to maintain service quality, operational efficiency, and the commercial needs of the business.
Details: Permanent position. Based in Halesowen office. Monday to Friday; 8am – 5pm,
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor incoming of client job requests via electronic system.
* Allocate appropriate engineers based on skill set, location, availability, and job priority.
* Coordinate and maintain daily and weekly engineer diaries, ensuring workloads are achievable and efficient.
* Optimise scheduling to minimise travel time and costs while maximising engineer productivity.
* Monitor job progress and reallocate resources as needed for emergencies, absences, or changes in client requirements.
* Communicate with engineers and clients to confirm appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts.
* Ensure compliance with client SLA’s and company performance targets.
* Maintain accurate scheduling records to ensure all jobs are updated in real time.
* Working with the team to ensure the workload is prioritised effectively and response rate is consistent.
Experience Required:
* Previous office administration experience.
* Experience in scheduling, resource coordination, or service planning (ideally within field service environments) is highly advantageous.
* Practical understanding of geographical planning and travel.
* Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills.
* Confident with picking up systems and working with Microsoft packages.
* Excellent attention to details and organisational skills.
