Salary: £38,333.37 per annum
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
We are seeking a dedicated Engineer - Mech/Steam/HTHW to join our team at HMP Swaleside, a Category B men's prison.

HMP Swaleside operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of staff to function. Our Facilities Maintenance Team is committed to ensuring smooth and safe operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, families, and the community.
As an Engineer - Mech/Steam/HTHW, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical services to HMPPS and are looking for an Engineer - Mech/Steam/HTHW with experience in:
* Two years' experience as a steam boiler operator or equivalent
* Knowledge of Water Supply Regulation and Legionella L8 requirements
* Familiarity with BG01 safety standards for boilers
* Experience with commercial or industrial steam, heating, and water systems
* Plumber qualification to C&G 6035, C&G 6189, NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
* BOAS accredited boiler operator course or equivalent
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Strong organisational, time management, and people skills
