Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support worker to work within our Falkirk District Nursing team. You will work as part of a Multidisciplinary Team and carry out routine care for patients in support of and supervised by District Nurse/Registered Nurse. You should have excellent communication skills, including effective written skills and a good working knowledge of IT systems.
The role will include various clinical skills such as venepuncture, medicine administration, catheter care, and other clinical investigations, performed without supervision following relevant training if needed. You will also be involved in care for palliative and end-of-life patients in their own homes.
You will provide support to other members of the MDT including staff nurses and student nurses.
You will carry out duties to meet patient needs, ensuring they are cared for appropriately.
You should be able to work independently and refer appropriately to the Registered Professional. Lone working is part of this role. You must also be able to travel throughout the area to provide patient care.
