At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax transfer pricing at PwC, you will focus on providing guidance and support to clients on transfer pricing matters. In this field, you will help businesses establish and maintain appropriate pricing for transactions between related entities, maintaining compliance with tax regulations and minimising the risk of disputes.
The operational transfer pricing space is seeing unprecedented growth due to an increasingly complex international compliance landscape, significant advancements in tax technologies and the heightened scrutiny from tax authorities into the way in which organisations maintain and control their transfer pricing functions.
Our Financial Services Sector focussed Operational Transfer Pricing (OpTP) Team is therefore expanding and looking to hire a talented Manager to join a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team specialising in embedding efficient and sustainable Transfer Pricing processes and systems.
This role calls for someone with a broad set of skills and would be ideally suited to someone with prior experience examining, challenging and redesigning tax and financial processes (whether as an auditor, financial controller or in a consultative capacity). A working knowledge of transfer pricing and / or experience in designing and implementing transfer pricing operations is desired, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with a diverse portfolio of financial services clients to address operational transfer pricing challenges, including process improvements, governance frameworks, and financial system implementations.
2. Contribute to company-wide transformation programmes, integrating transfer pricing into broader tax or finance workflows.
3. Support junior team members by mentoring and helping to develop their Operational TP expertise across the areas of process design, data structuring and governance.
4. Engage in stakeholder management to build and maintain client trust and satisfaction.
Essential Skills & Experience:
5. Professionally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) or part qualified and committed to completing their qualification.
6. Experience of working with at least one of the major Enterprise Resource Platforms (SAP, ORACLE, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite)
7. Finance and / or tax process design and implementation experience
8. Strong knowledge of Management and Financial Reporting systems and their interconnections.
9. Deep understanding of intercompany processes, broader Tax processes, and their integration with other business processes
10. Excellent communication skills to adapt content for technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
11. A good understanding of the UK legislative framework for transfer pricing, including Diverted Profits Tax (DPT), as well as a general sense of the global transfer pricing regulatory landscape.
12. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, deliver results, and support team members' growth and development.
