International Admissions Operations Manager, University, temporary, up to 3 months initially, £24.00-£27.50 per hour plus holiday pay, hybrid
Renowned University needs experienced International Admissions Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery of the International Admissions function. This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality processing of international applications across the student journey.
You will manage a team of admissions professionals, oversee complex admissions decisions, and ensure service level agreements are consistently met. The role also plays a key part in delivering a smooth applicant experience during peak periods such as Clearing and Confirmation.
Responsibilities include:
* Lead the day-to-day operations of the International Admissions team
* Manage, support, and develop admissions staff, including supervisory roles
* Ensure applications are processed accurately and within SLA targets
* Oversee complex admissions decisions, complaints, and appeals
* Ensure compliance with UKVI, GDPR, CMA, and internal regulations
* Drive process improvements and service enhancements
* Deliver training on admissions processes and systems
* Collaborate with faculties, recruitment, CAS operations, and student services
* Support peak admissions activity including Clearing and Open Days
* Deputise for senior leadership as required
Experience needed:
* Experience in higher education admissions or international student recruitment
* Proven experience managing or supervising teams
* Strong understanding of UKVI and international admissions processes
* Ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced operational environments
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Comfortable working with data and admissions systems (e.g. Banner or similar)
