Mott MacDonald Bentley is a fully integrated design‑and‑build business. The Project Leader role combines traditional Project Management and Design Engineering responsibilities, managing projects through the outline and detailed design lifecycle, supported by cross‑disciplinary teams.
Working as part of a “project triangle” alongside a Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor to ensure technical, constructability and commercial aspects of delivery are considered.
Lead the design of treatment or infrastructure projects from initial outline to detailed design, through construction, commissioning and handover.
Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams (civil, electrical, mechanical and process designers, BIM modelers and technical specialists) to ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget and to the required quality.
Undertake design work in one’s discipline and mentor less experienced colleagues where appropriate.
Build positive relationships with the client’s project, operational and technical assurance teams, promoting a “one‑team” approach.
Accredited Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Process or Electrical Engineering.
Incorporated Member of an Engineering Institution.
Experience in outline and detailed design of water or wastewater projects.
Knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
