Installed Base BU is in charge for Framatome's nuclear engineering and services for operating nuclear plants, for new build projects and for installations in decommissioning phase.

Your missions
Framatome is a major international player in the nuclear energy market recognized for its innovative solutions and value-added technologies for designing, building, maintaining, and advancing the global nuclear fleet. The company designs, manufactures, and installs components, fuel and instrumentation and control systems for nuclear power plants and offers a full range of reactor services.

In the UK we are currently 450 strong and our plans are to grow to 1,000 by 2026 through the development our UK nuclear service offerings.
Due to our continued growth and exposure to the UK Nuclear sector, we are actively recruiting for Quality Inspectors to support our work at Hinkley Point C. Duties will include:
Monitor all inspection activities
• Ensure compliance to customer and product specifications through rigorous inspections
• Monitor sub-contractors
• Approving incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
• Approving in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor,
• Approving finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for rework; confirming rework,
• Dealing with document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarising rework and waste
• Keeping measurement equipment in working condition by following operating instructions; calling for repairs
• Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations,
• Accomplishing quality and organising jobs by completing related results as needed
Please note that this role is based at Hinkley Point C, and daily travel to the site is a requirement of the position
You are
To be considered, we require the following technical skills:
CSWIP Level 2 (3.1) Welding Inspection (essential)
• PCN L2 Dye Pen (essential)
• PCN L2 RT/Radiographic Interpretation (desirable)
• Responsible welding co-ordinator
• CSCS Managers and Professionals Test
In addition the following experience is required:
• Knowledge of Quality tools and systems e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, EFQA etc.
• 3-5 years proven relevant experience as a Quality Inspector (essential)
• Experience in dimensional inspection (essential)
• Experience of developing and implementing processes and procedures.
• Experience leading investigations / problem solving
• High level of competence in MS Office products
• Sound welding knowledge
• Knowledge in fabrication and tank & pressure designs
• Previous experience in a highly regulated industry advantageous
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14000 and OSHAS 45001
• Questioning attitude
• Good team working skills
• The ability to work with a low level of supervision and intervention
• Highly organised with attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills including influencing and presenting
• Ability to work in a team as well as on own initiative with a can -do attitude
