Sales Manager – Data Centre - Utilities Vertical (Hunter Role) Salary: £75,000 OTE £110,000 uncapped Location: UK (Remote with 1 day per week in Midlands or North East England office) Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Your Next Big Opportunity: Drive Revenue & Build a Market We are working with a fast-growing SME in the Data Centre / Telco / IT sector - this role is a for a vertical specialise, looking for a hungry, entrepreneurial Sales Manager to generate new business across the UK. This is not an account management role – we need a true hunter who thrives on opening doors, winning clients, and driving commercial growth from scratch. The Role Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will: * Develop and execute a new business strategy targeting electricity and utility solutions for data centres across the UK * Build a pipeline from scratch and convert leads into revenue * Engage with senior stakeholders at DNOs, IDNOs, ICPs, and data centre operators * Lead commercial negotiations, bid management, PQQs, and estimating * Deliver clear sales forecasts, performance updates, and insights to the leadership team * Identify market opportunities and shape strategy based on competitor and client trends Who You Are * A hunter at heart with a track record of generating new business in the Electricity Utilities or Data Centre Infrastructure sector * 8 years’ experience selling to UK-based organisations in utilities, high voltage, grid connections, or data centre solutions * Strong technical knowledge of electricity networks, power infrastructure, and utility services * Experienced in bid/tender management, PQQs, estimates, and commercial negotiations * Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and confident operating autonomously * Hungry to make money, rewarded on results, and driven by target achievement What’s on Offer * £75,000 base salary 40% commission (OTE c.£105,000, uncapped for top performers) * Remote working with 1 day per week in the Midlands office * Full autonomy and ownership of a new business area * Opportunity to build a sales function as the company grows * Work with a high-growth SME at the forefront of data centre utilities If you are a new business hunter, results-focused, and want to directly influence growth and profit in a fast-moving SME, this is the role for you.
