At Believ, formerly known as Liberty Charge, we believe sustainable transport should be accessible to everyone. We’re a Charge Point Operator (CPO) on a mission to create the UK’s most reliable electric vehicle charging network that doesn’t cost the earth and leaves no one behind.

We work closely with local authorities and businesses to deliver reliable, high quality charging networks at pace, at scale and at zero cost.

About the role

You will be responsible for the growth in recognition of Believ as a partner to work with, a network to use and a brand to work for. This role will identify and make imaginative use of core marketing techniques, including digital marketing and social media, PR and thought leadership, events and other activities to drive business success.

You will be responsible for leading our talented marketing team, and developing and executing marketing strategies to drive growth three core areas: Brand, Network and Consumer. You will work closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure our marketing and communications activity proactively supports Believ\'s ambitious growth plans, initiating marketing campaigns, supporting business sectors effectively in communicating offers, digital marketing activities, events, PR and lead generation.

As a commercial marketeer you will be focused on driving measurable business growth by strategically aligning marketing activities with overall business objectives. You will prioritise the big picture, ensuring marketing efforts contribute to broader commercial goals rather than just focusing on individual tactics. You will prioritise understanding overall business objectives and aligning marketing strategies to achieve those goals, including tangible business results, such as increased revenue, market share, or customer acquisition.

You will be responsible for developing comprehensive marketing strategies that consider market analysis, customer segmentation, and competitive positioning. Taking a data-driven approach to analyse sales data, marketing campaign performance, and customer feedback to inform your decisions and optimise results.

You will be responsible for managing a significant marketing budget, monitoring spend and impact, to continually inform and refine the strategy going forwards. This role will engage closely with the sales and commercial teams to ensure they are provided with an excellent platform from which to drive leads and grow the sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

Client Marketing and Sales Support

* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute client marketing strategies and tactics that support our goals throughout the business pipeline including Public Sector, Private Sector and Consumer-related requirements
* Plan and manage PR and Comms strategies related to new and existing customers to support pipeline activities and goals
* Plan and manage events, virtual engagements, and digital marketing initiatives to support sales objectives.
* Review and manage creation of compelling sales collateral, presentations, and promotional materials.
* Establish a digital marketing strategy to meet Believ’s specific business goals, including social media and digital advertising strategies, Search Engine Optimisation and more.
* You will work closely with counterparts within Liberty Global, Virgin Media O2 and Zouk as required to utilise relevant resources, experience and channels to market.
* Explore new opportunities, channels and tactics to support Believ’s growth through clients including partnership and collaboration opportunities.

Consumer Marketing

* Establish an effective and collaborative relationship with Consumer and Product teams to review, refine and develop Consumer Proposition
* Develop and implement consumer marketing strategies to increase charger utilisation and enhance customer loyalty.
* Oversee and develop messaging and communications to ensure consistent, impactful, and engaging content across all channels.
* Utilise data-driven approach, constant feedback loops and business insights to continuously review and refine marketing tactics to meet developing business needs.

Brand Management

* Create and execute clear brand strategy to grow awareness, maintain consistency, build authority and retention across relevant Public Sector, Private Sector and Consumer audiences. Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility necessary to continuously evolve strategy and tactics in line with a fast-growing, fast-changing sector.
* Lead Believ PR and Comms collaboratively with internal stakeholders to drive brand awareness, sector-specific authority, community recognition and engagement.
* You will be the company custodian of the brand, ensuring that internally and with agencies it is being used in accordance with brand guidelines and externally that awareness is increasing.
* Lead efforts to promote, maintain, and continually evolve Believ\'s brand identity and positioning in line with business needs and goals, ensuring brand consistency, tone of voice and messaging is maintained and embraced across the business. This includes the development, improvement and implementation of Installation Site Design and User Experience in close collaboration with internal stakeholders across the business.
* Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and touchpoints.
* Review and evolve current feedback loops including measuring and tracking processes, monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform brand strategy and innovation.

* Effective strategy for marketing and communications initiatives across all segments, managing necessary internal and externals resources to deliver outcomes
* Measurable success in supporting and promoting client acquisition and socket growth in line with business objectives.
* Showcase Believ at industry events and conferences to promote our brand.
* Strong brand recognition amongst consumers and key markets.
* Comprehensive marketing offer delivered within agreed budgets and accurate cost forecasting
* Work effectively with and support other departments to facilitate their activities
* Design and implement appropriate measures for success, and report on weekly, monthly and quarterly bases.
* Effective day-to-day management of activities to make sure they are working toward success

About you

The successful candidate will have the following attributes and skills:

Qualifications and Experience

* 10 years of experience in marketing in a relevant sector, or fewer if in the EV charging sector specifically
* 5 years experience in a relevant people leadership role, or fewer if in the EV charging sector specifically
* Relevant degree and relevant post-graduate training and/or qualifications (Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field) preferred but not essential.
* Proven experience in the EV or related industry, with a strong understanding of the market dynamics and consumer behaviour, as well as SME environments.
* Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies, and execution within relevant commercial B2G & B2B businesses.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
* Measurable experience in a sales and bidding environment in the EV charging sector, both B2B and B2G, as well as EV related B2C experience, would be beneficial.
* Selecting and working with appropriate externals/agencies

* Understanding of key digital marketing tools, databases, platforms, modern marketing techniques and sourcing appropriate data to inform decision making
* A team player who thrives under pressure and can flexibly work to deadlines
* Ability to manage multiple projects, always maintaining an excellent standard of work
* Personable with demonstrable track record of developing key business relationships
* Adaptable, with a hands-on, can-do attitude
* 25 days’ annual leave, plus the usual 8 UK Bank Holidays and the option to purchase up to 5 additional days per year*

Location
