An established main contractor specialising in high-end residential new builds and refurbishments, with a healthy order book, the business has built an excellent reputation for delivering bespoke, luxury homes for private clients and developers.
The company typically runs 4-5 live projects at any one time, each lasting 18-24 months. The core client base includes several established developers, alongside a number of private clients, operating across Wiltshire, Hampshire, the Cotswolds, and wider Home Counties. Working from a purpose-built office of 12, projects are predominantly high-value residential schemes, including luxury country homes, high-end private residential refurbishments and new-build bespoke developments.
Based in Wiltshire, with excellent transport links including a local mainline station, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Surveyor wanting to work in the high-end residential market.
Your new role
Intermediate-level QS capable of managing projects with minimal supervision, although strong graduates will also be considered. The role offers excellent exposure across the full project lifecycle and is well suited to a QS looking to step up commercially within a supportive and progressive business or an experienced commercial lead capable of working independently.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading on all commercial aspects of projects
Producing cost plans, budgets and cash flows
Assisting with tenders, pricing documents and procurement
Tender evaluations and contract negotiations
Attending site and client meetings to help ensure smooth project delivery
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and consultants
The role is primarily office-based, with occasional site visits across the region as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, ideally within the housebuilder sector,
RICS accredition or working towards chartership is a bonus (not essential).
You will be comfortable managing your own schemes commercially with support from technical and construction departments.
You will be motivated, proactive and keen to progress technically and financially and be looking for a long-term role.
