The purpose of the role is crucial in driving sales and expanding our market presence by leveraging technical expertise and sales acumen. The main duties include: Sales and Business Development * Develop and maintain relationships with our customer base, by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions * Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed targets * Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals and product demonstrations * Research competitors to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators Customer Relationship Management * Address any customer concerns by maintaining regular customer contact. * Ensure any customer complaints are brought to a satisfactory conclusion Technical Expertise * Conduct technical assessments and site visits to assess customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions * Provide technical support and guidance to customers, helping them understand the product specifications and capabilities. Documentation and Reporting: * Utilise the internal sales I.T. systems to support the sales function, costings, quotations and orders * Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and project progress. * Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts and market analysis. You must have an engineering degree or equivalent technical/engineering background, as well as a valid driving licence. It is essential you have strong technical knowledge of heavy engineering products and solutions, and must be able to read/understand technical engineering drawings, both metric and imperial. As this role is customer facing, you should have the ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
