A growing boutique accounting practice in Belfast is looking for a Part-Qualified / QBE Accountant to join their team. This role offers hands-on experience advising a diverse client base on business, tax and compliance matters, providing an excellent stepping stone toward full qualification and future career progression. Key Responsibilities Support clients with the management of their businesses and financial affairs Assist in preparing management accounts, KPI reports, and financial forecasts Contribute to tax planning, VAT, payroll, and R&D relief work Prepare statutory accounts and assist with corporation tax and self-assessment returns Ensure clients remain compliant with relevant filing and regulatory requirements Build relationships with clients and provide high-quality service under supervision Participate in internal projects and support the Knowledge & Innovation of the practice Candidate Requirements Part-qualified ACA/ACCA/ICAI (QBE or equivalent) 13 years experience in a general practice environment Experience preparing accounts from core records and familiarity with personal and corporate tax returns Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards for SMEs and basic tax principles Good communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and comfortable using cloud-based accounting systems (Xero, QuickBooks, Receipt Bank, Hubdoc) Exposure to client portfolio management Benefits Competitive salary with performance-based bonus Early finish on Fridays 30 days annual leave including statutory holidays Pension plan Professional development and fast-tracked career progression toward full qualification Supportive, friendly, and collaborative office environment
