Overview
CNI Shift Multi Skilled Engineer – Electrical Bias. The role involves conducting multi-skilled maintenance (electrical and mechanical) on Critical National Infrastructure sites, providing reactive and proactive maintenance to all operational equipment per project requirements. You may also assist with general building maintenance activities and must document all tasks accurately, including reactive tasks in the CAFM system.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine PPM tasks and planned maintenance in line with scheduled dates.
* Perform reactive repairs and Electrical Installation work as required.
* Ensure all task documentation is completed correctly; record reactive tasks in the CAFM system.
* Contribute to maintaining high standards in line with company policies and procedures.
* Report any deficiencies in systems, equipment, or processes that could affect service delivery, health and safety, or the environment.
* Ensure own work and the work of others under supervision is completed safely and diligently.
* Maintain readiness to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice; be flexible in working patterns.
Qualifications
* City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent (required).
* 17th/18th edition IEE wiring regulations (required).
* Experience using a range of maintenance equipment.
* IPAF 3A & 3B and basic mechanical knowledge are desirable but not essential.
* Good knowledge of building statutory compliance.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; good verbal and written communication.
* Experience reading schedules and technical documentation; ability to work in a safe environment as per Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
* Physically capable of carrying tools and components up to 20 kg.
Role Details
* Contract/Pattern: CNI Shift Engineer, 4 on 4 off basis, 2 days and 2 nights per cycle, 7am–7pm or 7pm–7am.
* Location: Coventry, Birmingham, West Midlands area (as appropriate per role).
Desirable Skills & Experience
* BMS knowledge.
* Experience maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to defined criteria.
* Experience working in a critical environment/data centre.
