Datacenter People is a specialized recruitment company working with a Project and Cost Management Consultancy looking to add an experienced Document Controller to their team based in London.
The Project Coordinator/Document Controller is responsible for managing the flow of documentation across the design, construction, and handover phases of critical infrastructure projects. This role ensures that all project documents are controlled, distributed, stored, and reported in line with client, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities;
1. Establish, implement, and maintain a structured document control system aligned with client and project standards.
2. Create and manage document/drawing numbering conventions, folder hierarchies, and metadata requirements.
3. Process, log, and track all incoming and outgoing documentation including drawings, RFIs, submittals, and correspondence.
4. Maintain document registers and version control, ensuring audit trails are complete and accurate.
5. Perform regular quality checks to ensure documentation complies with agreed naming conventions and content requirements
6. Liaise with general contractors, consultants, and internal project teams to coordinate document submissions and approvals.
