Duties
The Psychiatrist works as a member of an interdisciplinary MHCC team. There may be some times that the clinician would have to visit a main facility or a different CBOC for the purpose of meetings or trainings.
The Psychiatrist is in the outpatient Mental Health Clinic within the Mental Health Clinical Center (MHCC) and practices at the independent clinical level of practice. The Psychiatrist has specialized knowledge of practice related to assessment, diagnosis, and psychopharmacologic treatment of a variety of mental health conditions.
The Psychiatrist provides individual treatment using evidenced based interventions for the treatment of Veterans with diagnosis to include Post‑Traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Use Disorder, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, severe and persistent mental illness, personality disorders and other disabling affective and anxiety disorders.
There may be other duties as assigned or required.
