The Head of Finance will lead and manage the Homes & Communities Finance Teams within Financial Management, supporting, Homes & Communities, advising on relevant aspects of strategic finance and business partnering, alongside comprehensive financial direction, support and guidance to a range of Council’s services and Directorates. \n \n The postholder will provide financial leadership and strategic advice to directorates to enable them to develop robust financial plans and ensure that the future needs of the service are reflected in the Council’s medium term financial forecast.
They will also support transformation and business led projects within Homes & Communities, ensuring that timely and robust financial information is provided to support with decision making and take an active role in shaping outcomes of projects.\n \n Candidate Criteria\nCCAB/CIMA Qualified, CIPFA preferred with extensive post qualification experience\nExtensive experience in Local Authority Finance, specifically Housing/Communities. \nExperience of preparation of annual budgets and final accounts for Local Authority\nSignificant experience in a senior financial capacity, leading a team of finance professionals to deliver an effective service\nGreat communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a teamIf you are interested in the role, or know of anyone who may be, please contact Greg at Service Care Solutions on (phone number removed) or email (url removed)\n Service Care Solutions also offers a £250 referral bonus!
