We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Developer to join a dynamic public sector team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front end and back end development, with a passion for creating innovative and efficient solutions for government focused programmes.
You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining web applications that address the unique challenges and requirements of the Defence & Security sector.
Key Responsibilities
Designing, developing, and deploying robust web applications for public sector projects
Contributing across the full software development lifecycle in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Creating responsive and accessible user interfaces using modern front-end technologies and frameworks
Developing secure and efficient server-side logic
Implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with government regulations
Conducting regular security assessments and collaborating to identify and address vulnerabilities
Developing and maintaining well-documented RESTful APIs
Working closely with project managers, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Communicating effectively with non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives
Essential skills:
Active DV clearance
Proficiency in modern front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
Strong server-side development skills using Node.js, Python, or Java
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modelling
Proven ability to analyse complex problems and implement effective solutions
Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements within a dynamic public sector environment
Desirable skills:
Familiarity with government processes, policies, and systems
Understanding of UX and accessibility principles, ensuring applications are usable for both government officials and the public
Experience developing and maintaining well-documented RESTful APIs
Knowledge of secure development practices and handling sensitive government data
