Job Summary
The post will suit an applicant who has an interest in Breast Radiology. The successful candidate would join a team of 2 Consultant Radiologists with a focus on Breast imaging. The role involves 10 Programmed Activities, including 7 for direct clinical care, 0.5 for on-call duties, and 2.5 for supporting professional activities. Less than full-time working can be considered. The current on-call commitment is 1 in 17 (Band 3%, category A).
Applicants must hold Membership of the Royal College of Radiologists (UK or equivalent), be fully registered with the GMC, and be on the Specialist Register or obtain CCT within six months of interview. Interviews are scheduled for Monday 23rd June 2025.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will contribute to the department's workload, support MDT meetings, meet waiting list targets, and enable extended working hours. The department comprises 19 Consultants (16.5 WTE), an Associate Specialist, and a Specialty Doctor. Participation in the on-call rota (1 in 17) is expected. The department uses a central on-call hub supported by RIS and PACS systems. The department has achieved the Quality Standard for Imaging in 2019 and 2021.
