Biomedical Scientist (Band 5/6) 36 Hours per Week | Monday to Friday | Day Shifts | Permanent Introduction Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Biomedical Scientist (Band 5/6) to join their laboratory team. This is an excellent opportunity for a HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services and support excellent patient care. As part of the laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a range of analytical tests and investigations on patient samples. You will ensure accurate and timely results that directly support clinical decision-making and patient outcomes. Key Duties Perform analytical testing, validation and processing of patient samples. Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment. Process urgent, routine and specialist investigations within agreed turnaround times. Review and authorise results in line with SOPs, competency requirements and quality standards. Participate in Internal Quality Control (IQC) and External Quality Assessment (EQA) programmes. Maintain compliance with ISO 15189, UKAS and laboratory quality standards. Ensure accurate record-keeping and full sample traceability. Collaborate effectively with clinicians, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care. Requirements Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent recognised qualification.
