We’re looking for experienced roofers to carry out repairs and maintenance works across social housing properties. The role covers general roof repairs, roof investigations and fault finding, tile and slate repairs, gutters, downpipes, fascia and soffits, and associated works.
Essential requirements: Proven experience in roofing repairs and maintenance, previous social housing experience including occupied properties, and the ability to work independently and safely. Good customer service skills are required when dealing with tenants and neighbours. Applicants must have their own tools, a full UK driving licence, and be comfortable using a mobile phone for job updates, photos, digital timesheets, and PO processes.

*Role Overview:*
· Full time permanent position, working 42.5 hrs per week (plus overtime)
· Planned works, such as bath room renovations, insurance works etc. working in domestic and light commercial properties.
· There is a large amount of work within housing associations
· Reactive repairs, such as emergency call outs to building fabric may be required from time to time
* Liaise with the helpdesk in relation to work orders
* Complete relevant paperwork and report diligently, including customer sign off after each job
* Supporting the line manager / supervisor with quoting extra works, and ensuring the job stays on specification
* Work in a customer focused environment where quality and service is paramount
* Ensure every task is carried out to the highest standard of workmanship and safety
* Working across FM, projects, planned & reactive maintenance teams

Pitched roofing including tiling and slating (repairs and renewals)
Flat roofing systems including felt, GRP and liquid systems
Full roof replacements and planned works
Leadwork including flashings, valleys, and soakers
Chimney works including repointing, repairs and rebuilds
Roofline works including fascia, soffits, and guttering
Leak detection and fault finding
General roofing repairs
Working across occupied and void properties
Carrying out works to a high standard across both reactive and planned jobs
*Person spec:*
· Experience in a varied construction and building environment, including working within social housing and local authority
· Full driving license
· DBS check will be required and clean (exceptions may be given)
· Ability to work from plans, but also have the ability to fill in any gaps or highlight to the supervisor for approval
· A can do attitude
· Flexible mindset for reactive tasks
· Possess a high degree of attention to detail
· Awareness of Health and Safety
· Highly customer focused
· Experience of working within a mobile workforce
· Experience dealing with customers and suppliers
