Business Development Representative
Telent is seeking a new team member for the Sales division within the Network Services sector. We want a motivated, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking outbound sales professional to help establish and nurture relationships with new and existing clients across sectors such as Emergency Services, Public Sector, Government, Utilities, and Nuclear.
This junior role offers a structured entry into a career in Technology Sales / IT Sales, supported by formal training and a personal development plan. The position involves working collaboratively with the Sales team at our Warwick and Camberley offices, with at least one day per week at each location, and requires UK-wide travel with Account Managers for client meetings. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are highly desirable.
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a key role in executing Telent's market strategy. As you develop in the role, we will help you chart a career path for growth within Telent.
BDR - Responsibilities:
1. Gain comprehensive knowledge of Telent, our offerings, and market sectors to educate prospects.
2. Support the sales pipeline by researching target accounts and identifying key stakeholders.
3. Create and coordinate outreach campaigns based on territory research.
4. Build a pipeline of contacts and leads via LinkedIn, online research, and other tools.
5. Engage in outbound prospecting through calls, emails, social media, and creative outreach efforts.
6. Follow up on inbound leads and convert them into meetings and opportunities.
7. Analyze and report on weekly activities and pipeline progress.
BDR - Candidate Profile:
We seek candidates who are sales-driven, resilient, self-motivated, and practical in their approach. Experience in B2B or outbound sales, especially in IT, Networks, Security, Telecommunications, or related industries, is preferred. A university degree or equivalent is also advantageous.
You will undergo training during your workweek, with regular coaching sessions, to equip you with the skills to prospect and build a sustainable pipeline. Successful completion will earn you a certified qualification to support your future career.
