Laboratory Technician - Secondary Schools & Colleges (South Wales) Location: Across South Wales Pay: From £13.69 per hour (depending on experience) Empowering Learning are seeking dedicated and skilled Laboratory Technicians to join Secondary Schools and Colleges across South Wales. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational and technical skills, who can support science departments in delivering engaging and safe lessons. Key Responsibilities: Preparing, setting up, and maintaining laboratory equipment and resources. Handling chemicals safely and preparing solutions for practical experiments. Supporting teaching staff in science practical lessons. Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures at all times. Maintaining stock levels and ordering laboratory supplies when required. Assisting with the preparation of lesson materials. Providing technical advice and support to staff and students. Requirements: Previous experience as a Laboratory Technician (school, college, or industry). Knowledge of health & safety procedures and risk assessments. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A science-related qualification would be desirable but not essential.
