The Opportunity You'll support the Financial Controller across all core finance activities, working as part of a small and focused team. The company is preparing for a Sage 200 system upgrade, and you'll have a key part to play. This is a hands-on role based in an open-plan, collaborative office, where finance sits alongside the wider business. What You'll Be Doing Maintain accurate purchase, sales, and general ledgers Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts Support budgeting and cashflow forecasting Lead on reconciliations and ensure financial data accuracy Prepare VAT returns and assist in external reporting Contribute to the successful rollout of Sage 200 Gain exposure to CIS (Construction Industry Scheme)-useful experience, but not a must What You'll Bring Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs as a minimum) Experience with Sage 50, Sage 200, or similar accounting software Methodical and accurate approach to routine finance tasks Confidence working with people across departments This role suits someone who prefers consistency over chaos.
