This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance coordinates the delivery of main MEH, cabling, and support services, aiming to deliver complex cabling and pipework installations in the power station’s rooms.
The role
As a Welding Quality Control Inspector, you’ll ensure welding standards are met on-site. Your daily tasks include reading inspection test plans, inspecting work, and producing reports.
* Witness inspections as per the Inspection and Test Plans to meet project deadlines.
* Record inspection results, identify non-conformances, and accept or reject items accordingly.
* Coordinate with Area Quality Leads to deploy surveillance and support plans.
* Collaborate with fabrication and installation teams to meet contractual requirements.
* Review quality records for accuracy to support End of Erection Status Reports.
This is a full-time role, 38 hours per week, based at HPC in Bridgwater.
Essential experience:
* Experience as a QC Inspector
* Experience in a highly regulated industry
Qualifications:
* Engineering qualifications such as ONC / HNC / HND or equivalent experience
* PCN or CSWIP certification
The candidate must be able to achieve BPSS security clearance.
