Are you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with additional needs? We are currently recruiting SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistants to work across supportive and inclusive schools in Dewsbury and the wider Kirklees area.
We work with a range of schools seeking committed individuals to provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

The Role
As a SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with individual pupils who require additional support to engage with their learning and school life.
You will provide consistent, personalised support based on the needs of the child, which may include assistance with learning activities, emotional regulation, behaviour support, and communication development. You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure each pupil receives the right level of support to thrive.

Requirements
To be considered for this SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant role, you will:
1. Have recent experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or SEN setting
2. Be confident providing 1:1 or small group support
3. Have a calm, patient, and empathetic approach
4. Be passionate about supporting children with additional needs
5. Be adaptable, resilient, and proactive
6. Work effectively as part of a wider school team
7. SEN-related training or qualifications are desirable but not essential depending on experience
