We have an exciting opportunity for a civil or structural engineering graduate looking to kick-start your career in a supportive and ambitious consultancy.
We’re looking for a Graduate Engineer to join a friendly and growing team in Truro, Cornwall. You’ll be working on a broad range of residential and commercial projects across the Southwest, from small domestic alterations to large, multi-million-pound developments in some truly unique locations.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills across all areas of structural and civil engineering, gain real project experience, and work closely with senior engineers (including a Civil Engineering Director) who are committed to your progression.
What You’ll Do:
1. Assist in the design and analysis of structures in concrete, steel, timber, and masonry
2. Prepare technical drawings, calculations, and reports under the guidance of senior engineers
3. Conduct site visits and surveys across Devon and Cornwall to support project delivery
4. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients on residential and commercial developments
5. Support the team across all stages of the project lifecycle, from initial concept to construction
6. Learn to interpret and apply building regulations, engineering codes, and design standards
7. Contribute to a range of projects — from small domestic alterations to large multi-million-pound schemes
Who We’re Looking For:
8. MEng or BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
9. Ideally, some UK consultancy experience (through placements, internships, or post-grad work)
10. A self-motivated team player with strong communication and analytical skills
11. A willingness to learn and take on responsibility
12. Local site visits are part of the role, so we require on-site presence with a max of 1 day/week remote working
