Role Details: Hours: 37 hours per week Salary £52,659 per annum Location: This is a home based role with regular national travel as required Role Summary: The Community Events and Experiences Lead will support the Events and Experiences Director with strategically developing and implementing a reimagined approach to supporting local, regional and national community events, festivals and experiences to happen and be celebrated in line with the evolving Events and Experiences Strategic Plan. Specifically, the Community Events and Experiences Lead will have oversight of; the strategic planning and delivery of localised support for affiliated organisation and delivery partners with events and experiences; lead strategic planning and operational delivery of national and international recreational experiences in line with BG experience products and FIG GfA requirements (e.g. School Games, GymFusion, World Gym for Life, Euro Gym and Gymnastrada); partnering with internal and external stakeholders to engage with and communicate local and regional events and experiences. The Community Events and Experiences Lead will have strategic responsibility for commercial success and social impact of current Gymnast Experience products and services (e.g. Rise Gymnastics) and future concepts (e.g. 'event in a box') aligned to clearly and appropriately defined measures. Working closely with the National Partnership and Places Lead and Regional Leads via the Events and Experiences Partners, the Community Events and Experiences Lead will implement ways of working that drive member value, impact and connection to BG as the key point of contact nationally for recreational events and experiences. This includes EGA events and experiences in support of the responsible Event Manager and associated team. * Please refer to the Role Profile for Full details * Main Areas of Responsibility: 1. Operational Lead for Strategic Change and Development within Community Events and Experiences (e.g. Place-based Working) Operationally lead the recruitment and implementation of a regional events and experiences team Work with other Leads across the business to implement, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of new matrix ways of working Line manages the Events and Experiences Partners, Gymnast Experience Programme Manager and Events Manager (responsible for EGA events and experiences support) In partnership with the communications and engagement team, implement strategic initiatives to celebrate local and regional events and experiences developed and delivered in collaboration with affiliated organisation and delivery partners
