Project Manager
Job Summary
Global Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in managing multiple projects both in workshops and offsite. The role demands excellent people management, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude. Key qualities include multi-tasking, problem-solving, and a sense of urgency to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
Rate of Pay - Up to £60,000 (Dependent on experience)
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Manage multiple projects both in the workshop and on-site.
2. Manage schedules, project scope, and deliverables.
3. Lead and manage project teams.
4. Attend site visits and vessels to oversee client interface, reporting, and progress.
5. Manage project budgets and report weekly to the Director.
6. Ensure understanding of project scope and contractual terms.
7. Handle change management, raise variation orders, and obtain client approval prior to work commencement.
8. Coordinate with clients, resources, subcontractors, suppliers, and third parties.
9. Set up and maintain projects in company management and accounting software.
10. Identify engineering issues early and implement solutions.
11. Procure materials and consumables as per drawings and weld procedures.
12. Prepare internal and client reports.
13. Complete project delivery documentation.
14. Assist in marketing efforts, including project records, newsletters, case studies, and articles.
15. Promote and ensure adherence to QA and HSE policies.
16. Support the development and improvement of QAHSE procedures and standards.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Previous experience as a Project Manager in a similar industry.
2. Experience in welding/fabrication and managing projects from concept to delivery across various sectors.
3. Site management experience.
Desirable Skills and Experience
1. Higher-level qualification in engineering.
2. Project Management certification.
