Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will: Comply with health and safety policies and regulations. Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to minimize risks. Lock off dangerous machinery and notify for repairs. Resolve breakdowns and carry out preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Proactively undertake preventive maintenance on offline machinery. Complete PM sheets with observations and recommendations, filing them with the Maintenance Planner. Gather information from production personnel to expedite fault-finding. Maintain accurate engineering logs and computer systems with relevant information. Communicate professionally with external parties, reflecting our company values.
Qualifications and Skills
HNC, City & Guilds, or time-served apprenticeship with relevant engineering qualifications. Experience in a similar role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment. Multi-skilled with a strong electrical background. Proficient in pneumatics and packaging machinery, with strong fault-finding abilities. Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus. A flexible approach with a positive 'can-do' attitude. Experience with SAP is advantageous.
