We are supporting a private equity backed business in the appointment of a Finance Business Partner.
This is an immediate start reporting directly into the Finance Director.
Main duties of the post include:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain accurate standard costing model for manufacturing operations and provide margin analysis.
2. Review quality, demand, and obsolescent and aged stock provision, challenging large values and any significant movements.
3. Liaise with and develop the financial awareness of both commercial and operational managers within the business, to understand variances and margins.
4. Monitor and analyse manufacturing costs and associated variance analysis.
5. Complete associated month end processes to strict deadlines.
6. Actively influence day to day decisions, shaping the strategy and direction of the business.
7. Ensure the reconciliation of relevant balance sheet accounts (Stock, Provision and GRNI) to the general ledger, including the timely input of accruals and journals.
8. Conduct data analysis using the company's ERP system and linked BI system providing meaningful reports to guide business focus.
9. Work closely with the manufacturing managers to ensure they understand the impact their actions have to the company's profitability and cashflow.
Skills and knowledge:
10. Understanding of standard costing is advantageous.
11. Skilled in accounting software, data analysis and integrated ERP systems.
12. Advanced excel skills and the ability to perform data analysis.
13. Excellent attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, with clear, concise communication of information.
14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and challenge effectively with cross-functional teams and non-finance personnel.
Qualifications / Experience:
15. Immediately available.
16. Manufacturing experience.
17. Professional qualification such as CIMA / ACCA is desirable but not essential.
