Main Responsibilities/Overall Purpose: Saica Group provides sustainable recycled paper, corrugated cardboard, and flexible packaging manufacturing solutions, as well as solutions for waste management and waste recovery. The Sales Director is responsible for driving profitable sales growth by developing and implementing a clear sales strategy focused on customer needs and supported by strong market understanding. This role involves building and leading a motivated customer-facing team, utilizing the Saica Flex Sales System (SFSS) as a foundation for success.
Specific Tasks/Accountabilities:
* Apply Group Policies: Equal Opportunities, Environment, Quality, and Health & Safety.
* Lead and track Saica Flex sales activities to ensure year-end targets are met, launching early actions or projects to address gaps.
* Define, communicate, and explain a medium-term vision and strategy to guide daily commercial and marketing activities.
* Support, supervise, and track regional/site marketing plans.
* Ensure the annual sales budget aligns with overall company budgeting and long-term goals.
* Ensure appropriate organization and resources at all levels.
* Secure timely reporting to main stakeholders.
* Utilize the SFSS sales approach across the team, ensuring adherence to procedures and methodology.
* Assist in defining, implementing, and tracking innovation projects in liaison with R+D+I.
* Participate as a market/customer information provider to R+D+I.
* Implement and monitor organizational structure and training programs to build an effective sales team.
* Act as a coach for direct reports, with clear development plans.
* Provide performance feedback during People Review processes.
* Lead customer growth and margin initiatives through a technical support program.
* Support sales development and technical relationships with customers and OEMs.
* Lead a team championing customer satisfaction and ensuring positive supplier status (measured via NPS).
Undertake any other duties as requested by their line manager within the scope of the role.
Skills, Qualifications & Attributes:
Qualifications/training:
* University degree in Economics, Engineering, Commerce/Marketing, or similar.
* Master in Commerce/Marketing.
* Knowledge of micro-economics.
* Sales and negotiation techniques.
* Team management and leadership skills.
Professional experience:
* 5-7 years’ experience as a Sales Director in industrial or mass consumption sectors.
* 3-5 years’ experience managing sales teams.
Q.S.E. knowledge/training:
* Basic training in Q.S.E.
Language skills:
English level = 4 (Fluent). Other language skills as applicable.
