What you'll bring to the team
The Costume Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and distribution of costumes for performers and characters. They work closely with suppliers to ensure the costumes align with the parks brands to enhance guest experience and support the operational needs of the daily performance schedule.
Qualifications & Experience
Operations & Logistics:
* Manage costume inventory, storage, and distribution across park locations.
* Implement efficient systems for the management of costumes for performers and staff.
* Coordinate daily costume maintenance, including repairs, cleaning, and alterations.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
* Effective management of Costume storerooms
* Manage the collection, laundering and timely return of costumes
* Ensure costumes are maintained to a high level and look their best and maximise usable life
Team & Staff Supervision:
* Effective planning, staffing and time management to ensure costumes are available for all performances across the Alton Towers Resort.
* Schedule and oversee costume fittings.
* Train staff on costume handling, care, and maintenance procedures.
Budgeting and Supplier Management:
* Manage the departmental budget in line with agreed levels.
* Liaise with suppliers and place orders to fulfil costume requirements
* Liaise with maintenance contractors to ensure alterations and repairs are managed effectively
