Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Control System Engineer to join a very specialist engineering business based in the Merseyside area. The business is well established and operates in a growing, high precision industry and they’re looking to invest heavily in bringing more of their manufacturing process in-house.
Key aspects of the Control System Engineer role include;
* Design and develop Siemens TIA Portal control systems from scratch
* Run & deliver technical control systems projects from start to finish
* Be able to document the process fully
* Control System Engineers with experience of working for an OEM will be well suited to this environment (as well as Control Engineers who have worked in a system integration company)
* Knowledge of relevant UK and EU directives e.g. EN746, 94/9/EC equipment for use in explosive atmospheres – ideal experience
* Knowledge of industrial Ethernet communications
* Knowledge of and the use of Data types.
* Siemens WinCC within TIA Portal knowledge is essential. Tag creation and usage, screen modifications etc.
* Knowledge of redundant servers (ideally WinCC)
* Knowledge of heat treatment process, ovens, provers and/or furnaces and their associated control systems would be ideal experience
* Experience from the Automotive or Aerospace industries would be advantageous.
The client is a market leader dealing with high-tech solutions for high-tech customers. This Control System Engineer position will suit an individual who is hungry and passionate and looking to further themselves technically.
Initially the role will be mainly office based with the view that role could progress to hybrid/home based, once the successful Control System Engineer has established themselves.
The offices are commutable from Liverpool, Widnes, Warrington, St. Helens, Ellesmere Port, Skelmersdale, Runcorn, Birchwood, West Manchester and Ashton-in-Makerfield.
