CNC Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join our dynamic client team - a Somerset-based engineering company with over 40 years of industry experience.
Job type - Temporary Ongoing
Location - Dorchester
Working hours - Monday - Thursday, Day Shift
Salary - £45,000 - £50,000
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate a variety of CNC machines and associated equipment in a precision engineering environment
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce high-quality components
* Take responsibility for machine setup, operation, and basic upkeep
* Work closely with production leads to prioritize tasks and meet scheduling requirements
* Monitor tool performance and liaise with suppliers to ensure efficient tooling solutions
* Perform routine quality checks and adjustments to maintain standards
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
* Ensure work output aligns with quality and safety expectations
Requirements:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a CNC machining role
* Experience with multi-spindle machines is beneficial
* Ability to read and understand technical documentation
* Strong teamwork skills and proactive attitude
* Willingness to adapt to changing business needs
