A quick look at the role
Help us make a difference as a Regional Account Manager, managing a portfolio of customers in the East Region of the UK. You will be responsible for maintaining the business relationship between Biffa and the client, covering commercial results, growth, contract negotiations, KPI and SLA adherence, compliance, customer satisfaction, and retention. You will also develop strategic account plans, propose innovative solutions, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Your Core Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary interface between the company and the client, ensuring the implementation of strategic account plans, service success, contract compliance, retention, and pricing negotiations.
* Attend customer reviews and present detailed management information and advice on waste management programs.
* Build customer confidence by establishing solid and stable multi-level relationships.
* Act as the point of escalation for the client to support resolution of issues.
* Ensure customer debt aligns with contractual limits by addressing invoice queries promptly.
* Negotiate, influence, and communicate effectively at all levels within both internal teams and external clients to deliver long-term benefits.

* The Regional Account Manager is responsible for driving growth.
* The role operates with a high level of autonomy, aligned with the long-term regional business plan.
* Must be commercially focused, capable of analyzing and forecasting the success of business proposals, and understanding financial principles related to costs, profits, and added value.
* This role involves performance management of contracts based on KPIs and metrics.
* Ability to build key internal relationships across departments such as fleet, compliance, finance, HR, and with senior leadership including Area Directors and the Commercial Senior Leadership Team.
* Ability to develop relationships with external organizations at all levels.
