About The Role
Job Summary:
The BRUSH Transformers graduate trainee will be responsible for completing all tasks and projects assigned by their manager or mentor in each respective department. During their graduate rotation in specific business areas, they will learn the fundamental tasks, responsibilities, and processes associated with these areas.
The Graduate Trainee will also assist with wider projects, conduct research, and write reports as directed. They should be able to follow instructions but also take initiative and suggest improvements related to business and processes.
They will demonstrate a growth mindset and a commitment to rapid learning and development within the organization. Additionally, they should be willing to assist in driving improvements and engage proactively with stakeholders both within and outside their area of specialization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Participate in on-the-job training according to schedules and rotations.
2. Shadow staff members and managers, ask questions, and assist in projects where possible.
3. Understand project requirements and learning objectives to complete all duties assigned by the manager or mentor in each designated business area.
4. Seek feedback and guidance from experienced managers and mentors.
5. Establish professional relationships with staff and managers across the business.
6. Maintain professionalism and diligence while undertaking projects and duties.
7. Analyze activities in each business area and suggest improvements where appropriate.
8. Conduct research and prepare written reports and recommendations as assigned.
9. Participate in meetings, workshops, and training initiatives as required.
10. Analyze data and produce structured reports and presentations according to specifications.
11. Record and share findings with your manager/mentor and relevant stakeholders.
12. Contribute ideas, suggestions, and perspectives to discussions and projects, leveraging your fresh graduate perspective.
13. Take notes on experiences, maintain CPD through training records, learning logs, and reflective statements.
14. Develop and maintain lasting professional relationships.
15. Write and deliver a final report and presentation on a designated subject at the end of the program.
16. All employees must ensure health, safety, and environmental responsibilities are observed and followed, in accordance with relevant systems and rules.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
* Minimum of a 2:2 Bachelor's or integrated Master’s degree, or higher degree such as MSc or PhD. Degrees in Manufacturing, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or similar are ideal, but other STEM and business-related degrees will be considered with relevant skills and interests.
* Strong academic record with achievements in coursework, projects, and extracurricular activities.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
* Professionalism in all business interactions.
* A growth mindset and openness to developmental feedback.
* Previous relevant experience in a business, technical, or manufacturing field is advantageous.
