A specialist secondary setting for children and young people with Autism and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs is seeking a passionate, resilient and creative KS3/4 Teacher to join its dedicated team. About the Role
The successful candidate will teach across KS3 and KS4 within small, supportive classes.
They will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons designed to meet individual learning needs.
They will build strong, trusting relationships that promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
The teacher will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support holistic development.
They will contribute to a curriculum that places equal value on academic progress, personal development and life skills.
About the Candidate
Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Should have experience working with pupils with Autism and/or SEMH needs, or a genuine willingness to develop this expertise.
Must bring creativity, flexibility and a learner‑centred approach to teaching.
Strong communication skills and an understanding of trauma‑informed practice are essential.
Patience, empathy and a commitment to helping young people thrive are key qualities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
