What you’ll contribute
* Lead with a tailored learning approach and, alongside our smart learning tool Compass, empower members to overcome challenges and progress. The lessons you teach will help unlock their potential.
* Build lasting relationships in small group sessions (16:1 ratio) to inspire children to be fearless in their learning.
* Support members as they progress through the national curriculum, entrance exams, and GCSE preparation; drive meaningful progress and celebrate achievements with learners.

* Location: This position is based in our Southampton centre.
* Role scope: Tutor small groups (16:1), teaching children aged 4–16 on the national curriculum, plus 11 plus and GCSE content.
* Travel: You must be able to physically get to the centre you are applying for.
* Commitment: This role suits those seeking a long‑term, consistent involvement with children’s learning.
* Working hours: Contracted to work at least 6 hours per week over two days; start times between 3:30 pm and 4:00 pm on weekdays.
Pay Rates & Progression
Hourly rates by age group, with an additional increment for working at a centre inside the M25. Training and inductions are paid.
* Under 18 £8–£9
* 18–20 £10.05–£11.05
* 21+ £12.25–£13.25
* Additional 50p per hour for centres inside the M25
Earn more as you progress: you start at the base rate for your age group, with opportunities to increase pay based on hours tutored.
Requirements
* Achieve a grade 5 or above in Maths and English Language at GCSE (or equivalent). Predicted GCSE grades are accepted if results are due within 3 months.
* You must be aged 16 or over and have the right to work in the UK.
Note: We hire on a first-come, first-served basis and reserve the right to close this vacancy once a suitable candidate is hired.
All successful applicants will undertake employment reference checks and a Disclosure & Barring Service check or PVG check. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
