Role Purpose
We are looking to recruit a Fabricator Welder - Days responsible for the following...
Responsible for cutting, assembling and welding steel components used in the construction of buildings, bridges, industrial plants and other structures. Transform raw steel materials into accurate, high quality structural elements that meet engineering drawings specifications and standards.
Role Responsibilities
Read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
Fabricate and assemble structural steel components i.e.: - UB’s, UC’s, PFC’s, CHS’s etc.
Perform cutting, grinding and welding tasks to meet project requirements.
Use hand tools, fabrication machinery and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
Ensure all fabricated work meets dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
Operate lifting equipment i.e.: - overhead cranes.
Always maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet deadlines.
Always wear full and correct PPE.
Always Work safely adhering to all H&S procedures.Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Trade qualification in fabrication/welding (preferred but not essential).
Previous experience in steel fabrication.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Proficiency in welding and metalworking processes.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Good physical fitness and ability to handle materials.
Safety-conscious with knowledge of workshop health & safety practices.
Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality and dependability.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
