Job Overview
We are seeking an organised and proactive Student Administrator to support the delivery of Year 5 medical student administration within the Child and Maternal Health theme in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support across student communications, timetable management, room bookings, attendance monitoring, course materials, and use of the virtual learning environment (VLE).
* Liaise with colleagues across the School of Clinical Medicine, NHS partners, and other University departments; respond to student queries and coordinate training delivery across multiple sites.
* Contribute to student induction activities, assist with course improvements, and help develop efficient and consistent administrative systems and processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Educated to at least A‑level standard or equivalent.
* Experience of maintaining office systems and following administrative procedures.
* Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to manage a busy and varied workload with minimal supervision.
* Confidence using standard IT packages such as Word and Excel; ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of people.
* A flexible, customer‑focused approach, with problem‑solving, prioritisation and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
